You want to make a web page but you don’t know how. This article will give you drop dead simple steps to putting up your first web page. Here is a quick tutorial on how to create a simple web page fast.

Get an HTML editor
The first thing you need is the best HTML editor that will work for you.

Create HTML page
Create a new HTML page. Go to file > new > HTML. That’s all there is to it.

Insert a table
Your new breed of web sites use CSS. I won’t attempt to teach you that here. But ultimately, whether you use CSS or HTML, it’s still just pages on the Internet. Tables work fine.

To insert your table, just go to insert > table and select 600 pixels wide, 1 column and 1 row.

Center your table
Go to window > properties and make sure you have it selected. That gives you a menu bar where you can select align > center.

Add your headline
Type your headline and set the font size to X-large. Choose your color. Sometimes I prefer to take a screen cap of my headline and add it as an image in order to keep the formatting the way I want it in different browser sizes. Just go to insert > image to add your graphic.

Type your body copy
Put in the rest of your body copy. Use an arial or verdana font. You can insert additional tables to position pictures that you want to add.  You can also add webpage backgrounds that compliment the style.

The thing to remember about creating your web page if it’s your first time is that it gets easier. Your first time is the hardest. After you do this several times, you’ll feel a lot more comfortable with it. Later on, you may want to invest the time to learn how to create a web page with CSS.
